It was created in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and was designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat. And at times of 7:00 P.M., 8:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. every day, the tower’s lights was changed with playing Chiang Rai Rumluek song or music.
It is opened on Sunday only, at the curve of Sankhongnoi Road. There are a variety of products for choosing freely along with both sides of the road, such as clothing, bags, desserts, souvenirs and retro dance stage. It is opened during 6:30 P.M. – 11.30 P.M.
It is opened every Saturday with full handmade products, home decoration items, local products, gifts, souvenirs, food and others. The highlight is that there is dance space for tourists. It is opened from 4:00 P.M. – 12:00 A.M.
King Mengrai was the 25th king of the Lua Jungkarat Dynasty. He was a precursor of Chiang Rai, because he was the first king of the Mengrai Dynasty. This place is also a landmark of Chiang Rai where is opened 24 hours for travellers worship.

This is created by Thawan Dutchanee, National Thai Artist who is specialist in painting and sculpturing. His many works of art are collected in this large folk art museum established on an area of over 100 Rais, and includes over 40 Gala architectural buildings.
